Traverse Arts Project Presents Best of POP!-Sketch Comedy for the Gifted! POP! wants to find the absurdest reality in all of our lives. It takes a look at what makes us uncomfortable, makes us gasp, makes us cringe, and turns it upside down to reveal the funny underbelly. POP! material is generated by cast members as well as a team of writers, utilizing breaking news stories, on-going public embarrassments and pretty much anything else that strikes their fancy to create the 45 Minute long sketchfest. POP! -- Sketch comedy for the Gifted: Best of POP! can be seen: Sept. 9th@ 9pm, Sept. 10th@ 10pm, Sept. 11th@ 11pm Sept. 13th@ 10:30pm. The show id BRAND NEW each night, Each show will present the best sketches from the January through June season run earlier this year. Conallen, born and raised in South Philadelphia, says, "I'm excited to bring more theater to South Philadelphia. All the artists are here. Let's bring the shows!" POP!-Sketch Comedy for the Gifted: Best of POP! features some of Philadelphia's best up and coming South Philadelphia-based actors including Todd Rodenheiser, Amanda Damron, Allison Heishman, Frances Calter and others; Philadelphia's Drag Matriarch Sandy Beach hosts the most up-to-date news coverage. POP! is directed by Barrymore Award Nominee Keith J. Conallen, Creative Director for Traverse Arts Project. Traverse Arts Project is a non-profit arts organization that seeks to explore the diversity of thoughts and preferences within our society through live performance. We seek for the actors and audience to connect and reflect. We seek to not only entertain but start conversations.
